Frank Donaldson

One of the first in the country to realize that development was the future for our Catholic institutions, Frank has been preaching the gospel of meaningful involvement and engagement for nearly 25 years.

Along the way, Frank has had the vision to establish sound processes for long-range planning, strategic planning, capital campaigns, feasibility studies, total stewardship, and annual fund organization.

There isn’t a development question that has been asked that Frank Donaldson hasn’t answered. In more than two decades of working with hundreds of Catholic schools, parishes and dioceses, Frank has encountered just about every challenge an institution can face and he has turned them into opportunities that have allowed his clients to grow and flourish. Opportunities that have translated into hundreds of long-range plans in place, the establishment of numerous development offices, hundreds of trained development directors and millions of dollars raised for Catholic institutions.

Beginning as a teacher, an administrator and then a development director, Frank left the classroom behind to found ISPD. Since then the firm has grown and prospered under his care and with the philosophy that development is a ministry centered in the meaningful involvement of people.

Drawing on his experience as a high school teacher (the toughest audience around), Frank is a dynamic presenter and motivator. He has captivated audiences at NCEA and other national seminars as well as igniting even the most cynical Core Team member.

An accomplished musician, songwriter and cook, Frank is also a wonderful story teller and writer. He is the author of Unifying the Image, available through Catholic School Publications of NCEA. His collections of short stories about his experiences growing up in south Louisiana are a favorite gift for family and friends.

Frank attends Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Slidell, Louisiana, with his wife, Suzy, and youngest daughter, Megan. He serves on the Pastoral Council and works closely with Father Frank Lipps.
